How late do you stay?
Don't be rushed at the beginning of the reception to do the cake, dancing, garter & bouquet pictures... you set the schedule. YOUR COLLECTION INCLUDES UNLIMITED TIME! We will stay as late as you feel is necessary.

 

May our friends take pictures?
We allow others to take pictures as long as they do not interfere. If there is a problem, we will speak to you and you can tell your friends/relatives that they are interfering with our photography.

 

Is there a mileage charge to go to Holland?
We do not charge additional for driving to any location within a reasonable drive. Reasonable is Holland, Grand Haven, Sparta, Cedar Springs, Conklin, Lowell, Rockford, Ionia or Dorr.

Other communities will require a $100 (or more) payment in addition to the normal package payment.

 

How many places may we go to for outside pictures?
YOUR COLLECTION INCLUDES UNLIMITED LOCATIONS! You have the option for additional pictures - inside or outside. A rain-check will be given if the weather doesn't cooperate and you wanted outdoor pictures. The major consideration for going multiple locations is - do you have adequate time - you don't want to miss the reception.

 

What equipment do you use?
We primarily use 6x6 & 645 medium format equipment. And we have duplicate back-up cameras in case of a malfunction. We use 35mm professional cameras for the photo-journalism and candid shots.

 

When do you take the formal pictures?
We start pictures 3 hours before the ceremony if all the pictures are to be done in advance. Or, we start 2 hours if the couple prefer not seeing each other before the ceremony.

Do the Bride and Groom see each other before the ceremony?
Although most couples do - you don't have to. When all the pictures are to be taken before, there is a special time just for the bride and groom... seeing each other for the first time... alone. Time is set aside for that special moment... whatever you need. Actual time needed for photography can vary and is set according to your wishes. Your formal pictures will reflect our many years of experience and will be perfect down to the smallest detail (necklaces straight, dress hems, tuxedo cuffs).

You will have all of the family pictures that you can imagine... A full selection of wedding party pictures. We consult with you in advance to make a list of the family combinations desired.

Do you use flash for the ceremony photography?
We do NOT use flash for the ceremony pictures. This will not disturb your ceremony. Since we use high-speed film and fast lenses, the pictures will turn out just fine with available light. Many churches do not allow flash during the ceremony, and we respect the wishes of the clergy/church.

What can we do on the way to the party?
Why not another location for more pictures? YOUR COLLECTION INCLUDES UNLIMITED LOCATIONS! You have the option for additional pictures - inside or outside. A rain-check will be given if the weather doesn't cooperate and you wanted outdoor pictures.

How do we pay?
There is a contract to be signed. A retainer of about 25% is due then. This will reserve your date and lock in the package price. The balance is split into 3 payments.

Do we keep the proofs?

Three to four weeks after the wedding your proofs are ready. The proofs are presented in an attractive album.

YOUR COLLECTION INCLUDES ALL THE PROOFS!

We will need to see the proofs when you order your wedding album. Each picture in your album is custom cropped and enlarged to make the best picture.
